Functioning as a manager of aquatic service teams, a lead service technician  is an advanced role that oversees the maintenance of pool and hot tub spaces. This hands-on leadership position blends technical expertise with exceptional customer service to maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of aquatic systems. Responsibilities entail supervising pool openings and closings, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, cleaning and filtration, administering inspections, maintaining client relationships and guiding junior technicians through procedural operations. The work schedule for this position is typically full-time, year-round and in-person. Over the next 10 years from 2023 to 2033, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that ground maintenance workers, which includes pool technicians, will grow in employment by 5%.
